Through my work and education as a designer, I have gained experience in a wide range of different design softwares - some of which are not typical of the average designer. Besides the standard graphic design skillset, I also Illustrate and 3d model. For instance, unlike in a studio setting, where a designer hands their work off to a 3d specialist for mocking up the designed product, I do both.

VISUAL IDENTITY
When it comes to the visual side of branding (logos, brand colors, typefaces, and overall visual language), I am able to use my multidisciplinary skills to create a striking visual identity for any brand. I ensure to capture the mood that the client and customer alike look for, and seek to make the brand feel like their own.

PACKAGING
In alignment with the visual identity that either already exists, or created by myself, I aim to create packaging which not only displays the product in an eye-catching way, but also tells a story. When in the hands of the consumer, I find the unboxing process vital, as it has the opportunity to reinforce, or even increase the perceived value of the product.
Whether it’s a simple flyer or a 50 page catalog, I aim for perfection down to the smallest detail. With a wide scope of project types, having collaborated with major advertising agencies like Quad, and having ample experience in commercial-level print equipment, I can take on any project, of any size and shape.

PERFORMANCE
CREATIVE
Being a designer with an artistic background, I seek to make every ad I touch visually appealing. But in my view, unlike the stigma attached, I dont believe direct-response advertising has to be ugly. With proper photography, typography, and hierarchy, any ad trying to use bold, response-seeking language can be made visually appealing. Different audiences respond to different visual stimuli, so I aim to make my ads accessible to all of them.

GRAPHICS
During my years in college, I taught myself 3d modelling and rendering, using Cinema4d paired with Octane render engine. While at first it was simply a new artistic medium I was experimenting with, it soon became a crucial element to my current workflow. I currently use this software primarily to photorealistically mock up my designs, whether in the concept phase for input, or to present my work digitally in a clean, polished way, such as on this site. I also use this to animate, which I have used in a number of digital ads.

ILLUSTRATION
Prior to becoming a graphic designer, I was a freelance illustrator in high school and early college. To this day I still illustrate, and often incorporate the skills I learned through this in my current practice, and even use illustrative elements in some of my designs.
GENERATIVE AI
Though I am a firm believer in the value of human-made design work, I have never shied away from responsibly using AI tools to boost my productivity. I began experimenting with image-gen AI software such as midjourney as early as 2019, and have closely followed the technological advances in AI ever since. I use AI on a daily basis, and have become a master in prompt-making. I often use it to enhance product photography, generate themed assets, create quick design mockups of work I make myself, and to visually direct photographers I work with.
